This year the organizers are baiting the contest with more prizes than ever before and expect a record number of entries. Primarily a sailfish contest, the event also offers prizes for dorado and marlin.
The entry fee remains the same as last year: $8,000.ºº pesos per boat, for three fishermen. A combination registration party and official contest meeting will be held at Junto al Mar Restaurant on Thursday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. where all the official rules will be explained. You can sign up there and hire a boat and captain. The competition begins at 7 a.m. on Friday 24 and runs though Sunday 25. All boats must return by 3 p.m. The contest supplies ample entertainment on the main beach for the crowds who await the boats return.
