Firenze-Palazzo Vecchio 2007 (20081116)

This may have been the sleeper scene for the entire trip! I didn't have too much clue about this locale, but one evening when we were walking down the adjoining street, Steve mentioned that we were near the Firenze city hall where there some statues. I just happened to look right, down the narrow alley, and "holy shit", there was David starring right at us. A short trip down the street bought us to the most awe inspiring collection of statues that I will probably ever see, mostly all large originals from the Renaissance masters. It was so refreshing to see all this priceless art on display in a public piazza.

That was one of the joys travelling in Italia, there was no telling when and where we would come across the most fantastic art and scenery, it was hidden away everywhere.
