After our fast trip from Milano, we just walked out the front door of the train station, and this is
what greeted us, downtown Venezia! There were only three bridges over the Grand Canal, and this was
the first one, Ponte Scalzi, near the train station. Needless to state, it was a busy
neighbourhood. If you are not immobile, it would be expedient to walk anywhere in Venezia from
here, getting lost would be the biggest concern.
