This photo shows my dad, Max, standing in front of a column in the Abu Simbel King's temple. As you
can see, everything was thoroughly decorated and painted, however, the colours seem to have
significantly faded, apparently just from the sun shining through the door in the last 180 years
since their rediscovery in 1813. All the interior shots had to be taken using a time exposure, as
no flashes were allowed, so I braced myself against the walls for support.
