We traveled down to the in-laws in the country down the river from Brickaville for a few days. Here
at dawn, a lone paddler in a pirogue (wooden canoe) slowly makes his way up the Rianila river
outside my wife's mother's house. The whole area was completely inundated under several metres
water last February after Cyclone Giovanna.
