We traveled down to the in-laws in the country down the river from Brickaville for a few days. Here
at dawn, a solitary paddler in a passenger pirogue (wooden canoe) makes his way across the
Rianila river outside my wife's mother's house. The whole area was completely inundated under
several metres water last February after Cyclone Giovanna.
