I spent a day in Mexico City on a layover going to Vancouver from Puerto Escondido, so I took the metro to the centro and explored a bit. The districts I went through were very interesting. There was a massive electronics district I never knew about. I went past the Palacio de Bellas Artes through the newly refurbished Alameda Centro park and visited Santa Veracruz which was way off kilter. I then wandered back to the Zocolo, first stopping for some pasta and vino on "5 de Mayo" pedestrian mall, to end the day. The whole area has been significantly improved and beautified.
