Paris 2011 (20110816)

I spent a day in Paris on my return to Madagascar in August 2011, and these shots reflect my short journey up the Champs Elysee at night, and my trip along the Seine the following day. I came in by Thalys train to the Gare Nord, and I figured out how to take the two metros to the Colisee Hotel, where I think I will stay again, as it is acceptable, although small, and very conveniently located.

On Monday, I took awhile to figure out how to buy a RER train ticket to CDG. The suburban train seemed to whiz along, I am guessing at least 150 km/hr.

I figured myself fortunate to have cooperative weather with just enough clouds to make the sky interesting.
